Procedure for 

Phase A: heat up water to 50-60°C and add AGENAJEL (add PURABEET if intended) while intense stirring. Make a premix of xanthan gum and glycerin. Add it to the water phase while intense stirring. Cool down to 30°C. Add benzyl alcohol.

Mix Phase B with low stirring and heat to 50°C until clear. Add Phase B into Phase A and homogenized moderate until homogenous (for example 5 minutes with turbine stirrer at 1000 rpm under vacuum). Cool down to RT.

Adjust pH with NaOH or citric acid to pH 6. Full up in tubes.

Combine Phase A with low stirring and heat up to 90°C (holding time 15 minutes) whilst stirring and cool down to 30°C. Mix Phase B with low stirring and heat up to 50°C. Add Phase B into Phase A and homogenize moderately until homogenous (for example 5 minutes with turbine stirrer at 1000 rpm under vacuum). Adjust the pH with NaOH or citric acid to pH 6. Fill up into tubes.

This Natural Hair Styling Mousse is developed by Agrana and 100% natural. A unique combination of starches and natural ingredients now offers a synthetic polymer free styling solution that meets or exceeds typical characteristics of benchmark formulations with improved high humidity curl retention and elastic polymer films with excellent hair feel.

This formulation features RICE PO4 Natural which enhances absorption of oils and sebum (“dry shampoo effect”), longevity cleansed effect between applications. AGENAJEL 20.306 provides foam structure and stability. It also provides a dense, tight, creamy, and fine texture.

The ingredient AGENABON 20.219 provides natural hold and curl retention and no perceived after hair feel.

Procedure for Natural Hair Styling Mousse

Disperse the xanthan gum by adding to the water whilst stirring to create a vortex. Premix the glycerin and AGENAJEL 20.306, add to batch, stir for 15 minutes allowing the starch to swell. Add coco-glucoside and preservative, mixing until homogeneous between each addition.

Add Selected Styling Agent

Add AGENANOVA 30.326 or AGENABON 20.219 to the bath, stirring for 15 minutes until honogeneous.
Add RICE PO4 Natural, stirring until homogeneous.
Adjust pH to 5.0. Add remaining raw materials, mixing until homogeneous between each addition. Fill into cans and add propellant.
