MACKAM® 2800 Powder is an 85% powdered form of high-purity Cocamidopropyl Betaine, with a ‘stripped’ alkyl distribution. MACKAM® 2800 Powder is compatible with anionic, nonionic, and cationic surfactants, and exhibits high foaming even in high electrolyte solutions. This product offers exceptionally low and stable color and low residual odor. When compared to standard grades of cocamidopropyl betaine, MACKAM® 2800 Powder exhibits better flash foam and viscosity-building characteristics with lauryl sulfates, lauryl ether sulfates, and alpha-olefin sulfates in anionic-based systems. It is excellent for use in bath & shampoo bars due to its mildness, lime soap dispersing properties, and in liquids for its viscosity-building characteristics. MACKAM® 2800 Powder can also be used in oral products such as toothpaste and mouthwash and is also ideal in applications where very low water content is required, for example in formulations for water-soluble sachets.

]]> Iscaguard PEG is a combination of Phenoxyethanol Triethylene glycol Phenoxyethanol. This ingredient is a versatile, widely used preservative for personal care formulations. Triethylene glycol is used as an adjuvant to increase the effectiveness of active ingredients, reduce surface activity, make products easier to apply or allow several actives to be mixed into a single solution. Tests have shown that Phenoxyethanol in combination with trimethylene glycol demonstrated a significant increase in antimicrobial activity compared to phenoxyethanol alone. Iscaguard PEG is effective at 0.2% to 1.0% in many formulation types.

Phenoxyethanol is a versatile, widely used preservative for personal care formulations.

The addition of triethylene glycol increases its effectiveness by lowering its surface tension in order to enhance its activity at the cell membranes of microorganisms. Iscaguard PEG has a broad, balanced spectrum of activity against bacteria, yeasts, mold, and fungi.
